The man who invented and defined an entirely new genre of TV is now defining an entirely new genre of music. Produced by the legendary Mike Clink (G'NR's, Beth Hart) and covering some of the best and also lesser known songs focussed on nature by artists such as Joni Mitchell, J J Cale, Ben Harper and Bruce Cockburn, this powerhouse of an album is combined with a couple of Les Stroud's own natur...

Les had to win that match. I dont think he could have walked away losing. Even though its just a fun game and not serious this time he seemed to gain more respect by winning.

Les, do you or any of you other guys disagree that carrying a small amount of salt in your kit, could be both a mental boost, and be good to supply yourself with sodium? This might be a beginners question, just a thought I had.

I have watched his entire series of episodes when they were on TV , now I'm watching him on you tube and just noticed that the fish he catches are dead and half frozen. I am an angler/fisherman and know a fish does not come out of the water without putting up a fight. Something is not right here.

Spirituality isn't a religion. It's a way of life, the truth of who we are on every level, inside and outward though every dimension. Religion is a tool created to control the masses and keep them from realizing their true potential as a spiritual being of light. This 3rd dimensional Earth body is just a vehicle for our true immortal selves, our soul.

If Bigfoot/Sasquatch exists, I don't think the US & Canadian Governments would acknowledge them. The last thing the Govt. would want is mass hysteria from freaked out people and truckloads of yahoos with guns running around in the wilderness.

It’s basic reasoning to know what road you are on how often it is traveled and how far away from help you are planning to be! I hunt every year in Washington state on roads that are not maintained have no service and are not traveled often but for hunting or ORV vehicles. But these are roads I have hunted all of my life I know where they start and end. And I typically never hunt in a group of friends and family of no less than 4 people. The one thing most people never think of is the further you are away from help the longer it is going to take for help to reach you. If they even can depending on your location it is why we don’t hunt with a bunch of random people we don’t know. Because the truth is if something does go wrong they are more than likely going to be the ones saving your ass. Or leaving you to die! Choose your hiking, fishing or hunting partners carefully because they are going to be in most cases the ones saving your life if everything goes to shit. Always best to have a map and compass know how to read them and know how to use them. Phones and GPS are great but they are a paperweight when they are dead! And if you are hunting in a place that gets really cold many times they won’t work unless you can keep them warm enough. And I know everyone is going to say they always have their phones and they are always warm and they always work. That’s great until they don’t never mind that most hunters that take it seriously don’t even have their phones turned on while hunting. So yes phones are great but putting all your eggs in one basket is not a smart survival strategy! Lest say your phone by some miracle happens to work out in the middle of nowhere and you need help for any number of reasons. So where are you? What road are you on or woods are you in? What direction are you heading? If you don’t know any of those the best they are going to be able to do depending on the phone is track what cell towers your phone is pinging from. That could be hundreds to thousands of acres of land they would be looking. And if you are in a place that has a small sliver of service then your rescuers are not even going to be able to call your phone until they are right on top of you. Always great to have but I would never trust my life on it alone. The best peace of survival advice I would share with anyone and absolutely how I base all of my survival is. Two is one and one is none. Always have a backup to your back up. I love Les Stroud he has put survival and sound survival advice out to hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Thanks for the video stay safe and train often.🫡

Been waiting for this one. Its crazy - since I watched the actual episode, I thought encountering a party/rave/wedding in the middle of the jungle was entirely possible there, and you confirmed it. Did you think they were poachers, some gang, or something supernatural?

Hiking poles are underestimated and everyone thinks "Oh I wont look badass with one!" First off, nobody cares how you look. If you're that insecure seek therapy or if someone is trying to make fun of you, tell them they need to. Second, I can say they make not only hiking easier but if you've EVER waded a rocky river for fly fishing? Trust me... you want one.. unless you don't mind taking a spill and getting soaking wet. There are plenty of ones that fold up to be about a foot in total length (that then extend with rope - similar to a tent pole) that also have a metal tip which is great for not only terrain, but in the event you need a weapon against a wild animal (remember this is not some flimsy tent pole, these are meant to support 200+ lbs).

Good show!!! Stay out of their area. They have a right to be there as we have a right to live where we live. You are scaring them because they consider us to be a violent, unpredictable and intrusive species. Watch Avitar when the woman character says in so many words, killing any animal should not be celebrated because it's sad. Don't shoot a Sasquatch or any animal for curiosity or fun. That's insane...

You have no way of knowing how often the plow comes? That's basic reasoning... Major roads the plow comes constantly, even hourly in Canada. Side roads the plow comes when the storm has stopped. Maybe 8-12 hours if it's a bad storm.
